Course overview

This course establishes the foundational practice-based knowledge and skills specific to illustration and animation. Students will be introduced to the studio environment where they will explore processes and principles of picture making specific to illustration and animation including composition, colour theory and application, selected animation principles and drawing processes and techniques for illustration and animation. Students will learn to recognise and apply discipline specific knowledge and skills in the execution of introductory level Illustration and Animation projects to provide a foundation for future development in illustration and animation practice.
