Course overview
This introductory course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to classify and investigate Type and its characteristics. Course content relates specifically to concepts of graphic and communication design and examines symbols and systems to support reading and meaning. By analysing and managing type attributes, students will develop skills essential for creating impactful graphic and visual designs. This course aligns with the program's intent to provide a clear understanding of type to prepare students for designing typographic outcomes of increasing complexity in further study.
