  • Characterize and evaluate a number of bioactive compounds in food
  • Compare and contrast the effectiveness of foods, functional foods, nutraceuticals and medicines to prevent or treat various diseases.
  • Discuss issues of formulation and delivery of functional ingredients in foods
  • Describe various synergies or interferences between foods and medicines
