Course overview

The Major Dissertation Environmental Policy & Management (Applied) involves the undertaking of a full-year (consecutive Semesters eg Semester 1 and 2) research project and the submission by the due date of a dissertation on the project of approximately 20-24000 words, with an accompanying seminar. The Dissertation Environmental Policy & Management (Applied) T/Y will have two years (four consecutive Semesters) to complete the dissertation and seminar.

Course learning outcomes

  • Write a research proposal
  • Demonstrate understanding of the research process from initiation to completion
  • Explain the theoretical or analytical framework which informs the research questions and research methods
  • Demonstrate the capacity to collect and analyse relevant data, and write a dissertation summing up the research process

  • must have completed all of ENVI5015 Environmental Planning and Governance (UoA)/SCIE6800 Research Design and Methods

  • If the following course has not already been completed THEN must be enrolled in ENVI6007 Dissertation Env Pol & Mgt (Applied) Part 1
