Course overview
This course will provide students with the skills and confidence necessary to create and implement a project for the solution of a natural resource management problem and to act as a consultant in presenting the project to the management agency. Students work cooperatively with management agencies and staff supervisors to apply what they have learned throughout the program to address specific resource management issues using a multidisciplinary approach. Within the framework of a project brief, students work to: define values and issues, collect and analyse data, investigate and plan problem solving strategies, prepare comprehensive guidelines including financing strategies, and present a proposal pitch. This course will typically include a 75-hour field experience or industry placement.
