Course overview

This course aims to introduce materials for possible future energy systems, including energy storage by battery/supercapacitor, energy conversion/generation by electrocatalysis and photocatalysis. The course will cover both the chemistry part and the materials design part of new energy-related materials. The course should highlight the significance of energy materials engineering in modern society and contextualise the selection of energy materials on the basis of their characteristics and end use applications.
