Course overview
This course is an authentic industry led capstone design experience. Students will need to consolidate knowledge from across the program to undertake a sustainable civil/structural engineering design from the conceptual phase through to the production of design drawings. Projects will contain content for each of the subdisciplines Structures, Environmental, Civil, Water and Geotech.

Course learning outcomes
- Scope and prepare a detailed design that adheres with Australian design standards and the Engineers Australia Code of Ethics.
- Produce detailed design documentation including drawings that meet industry standards of each subdiscipline.
- Undertake self-directed learning in an ethical and timely manner while maintaining ongoing document control.
- Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes.
- Communicate professionally with diverse audiences in written, verbal and visual formats.
