Course overview
This course aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of key materials commonly employed in civil engineering and construction, such as steel, timber, masonry, concrete, and glazing. By examining manufacturing methods, material properties, and life-cycle considerations, students will gain insight into material preparation, including material manufacture and concrete mix design, and extensive material testing techniques crucial in construction.
- Common Materials And Analysis Methods
- Composite And Façade Materials
