Course overview
This course aims to develop students knowledge, skills, and expertise in, design thinking, enterprise learning, entrepreneurship, STEM and technology-based pedagogies. Through engagement in project based learning and cross-discipline planning, students will apply their skills to meet the needs of a community, industry or organisation and connect their learning to practical STEM and entrepreneurial education practices.
Course learning outcomes
- Identify, plan and teach aspects of STEM and enterprise learning through a project-based inquiry approach
- Apply the design-thinking process to develop critical and creative thinking, when solving complex problems
- Select and use resources appropriate to design and technologies
- Develop the capacity to work with colleagues to plan for, to evaluate and to improve teaching and learning through technology, entrepreneurial learning and design thinking education
