This course deepens students mathematical skills and knowledge for teaching primary mathematics, with a focus on probability and statistics.

Course learning outcomes

  • Select and use a range of mathematical representations and strategies to solve problems, with a focus on statistics and probability
  • Selectively use a range of tools and resources, including digital technologies, to enable, enhance and extend mathematical understanding in statistics and probability
  • Plan for statistical investigation and probability experiments, as appropriate to primary mathematics
  • Communicate statistical and probabilistic reasoning multi-modally
