This course introduces interdisciplinary pedagogies and content knowledge for the Arts Education learning areas: Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music, and Visual Arts.

- Employ knowledge of Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music and Visual Arts in the Arts curriculum. Key components: 1. Understands arts curricula frameworks and underpinnings 2. Apply arts discipline specific knowledge and skills relevant for teaching
- Document and plan authentic Arts learning experiences, using a range of resources including technologies Key components: 1. Documents and plans authentic arts learning experiences 2. Selects and uses a range of appropriate arts learning resources, tools, techniques and technologies
- Apply an understanding of the cultural diversity within classrooms and communities in Australia, and in the local context, to understand and value the perspectives of diverse groups including EAL/D and First Nations students. Key components: 1. Selects culturally appropriate resources for teaching the arts 2. Apply their understanding to develop and implement arts learning experiences that are culturally responsive
- Apply an understanding of the contribution of The Arts to learners' wellbeing Key components: 1. Applies an understanding of authentic arts education and arts pedagogy that is student centred, values student voice, and diversity of artistic expression 2. Applies an understanding of wellbeing practices through arts education and pedagogical practices
