Course overview

To foster a deep epistemic reflexivity about the need for renewal in Islamic schools. This course centres meta-purpose for Islamic school settings and grounds students in Islamic Pedagogy as a distinct philosophy of education. To examine theories, principles and philosophies of Islamic education as they inform Islamic pedagogy and evaluate the implications for diverse approaches to quality teaching and learning for Muslim students in contemporary classrooms.
