Course overview

This course offers an introduction to both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, delving into theoretical perspectives and practical methods. The primary focus is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to discern the appropriateness of various basic qualitative and quantitative techniques and apply these to the collection and analysis of research data. Through critical examination, students will gain the ability to evaluate the relevance of these approaches in designing their own research endeavours. The course is divided into two halves with the first focusing on quantitative methodologies and the second on qualitative methodologies.
