Course overview

To introduce creative learning through digital and visual literacies that explore the multiple viewpoints of diverse learners within an inclusive pedagogical approach.

Course learning outcomes

  • Investigate intersections between inclusive practices and visual and digital literacies, applying key arguments and skills to creative learning
  • Articulate learning theory that supports a creative learning approach through the use of multi-modal texts
  • Identify opportunities and challenges offered by various curriculum and/or discipline-based content when integrating visual and digital literacy
  • Examine the role of context and participant/facilitator identity in the co-design and implementation of visual and digital literacy experiences
  • Co-design, facilitate and revise creative learning experiences using a variety of approaches and techniques
  • Co-design visual and digital assessment tasks with students and facilitators
  • Reflect critically on student engagement for diverse learners
