To enable students to relate the values and understandings of critical reflection to an analysis and development of teaching proficiencies as required for a specific educational sector.
Course learning outcomes
- Demonstrate an understanding of the key aspects of effective teaching and reflective practice
- Demonstrate a professional attitude to teaching and the development of performance
- Demonstrate problem solving skills of logical
- critical and creative thinking
- Work in a variety of ways including autonomous and self-directed and collaborative group work and team teaching with Mentors in an educational setting
- Demonstrate a commitment to ethical action and social responsibility through recognising social justice issues and reflecting on the ethical justification of actions in workshops and in professional experience block
- Develop skills to communicate in a variety of ways that are appropriate to particular settings and audiences
- Demonstrate an awareness of own culture and the way it informs beliefs about teaching and learning by valuing diversity of language and culture in teaching

The Student Contribution amount displayed below is for students commencing a new program from 2021 onwards. If you are continuing in a program you commenced prior to 1 January 2021, or are commencing an Honours degree relating to an undergraduate degree you commenced prior to 1 January 2021, you may be charged a different Student Contribution amount from the amount displayed below. Please check the Student Contribution bands for continuing students here. If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
