Course learning outcomes
- Research through issues-based learning a suitable topic for inclusion in the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum
- Describe the steps and strategies used in the research process
- Critically analyse and evaluate contemporary issues relevant to teachers of Humanities and Social Sciences
- Develop a comprehensive Humanities and Social Sciences unit and lesson plan, and a basic literacy plan suitable for middle and lower secondary students using appropriate links to the ACARA framework
- Explain a range of practical activities, teaching strategies, assessment tasks and resources that can be employed to enhance Humanities and Social Sciences teaching and learning
- Evaluate a variety of Humanities and Social Sciences teaching resources
