Course overview
This course supports preservice teachers to understand the curriculum frameworks commonly used in Australian schools (Australian Curriculum and IB) and to use these curricula to plan effective lessons and lesson sequences. During placement, preservice teachers will plan for all the lessons that they teach, including lessons that are sequenced, and they will evaluate and reflect on each lesson after implementation. Preservice teachers will continue to develop effective pedagogies, including assessment for learning, and they will apply these during the teaching of lessons on placement. They will implement understandings of classroom management to support student wellbeing and engagement.
