Course overview
In this course, students will explore a personalised study focus within the Health and Physical Education learning area addressing aspects of professional operation, pedagogy and expanded performance practice. The study plan will clearly outline the focus of the investigation of pedagogical challenges and complexities, the nature of the specific learning tasks and the work required for successful completion of the study plan. It is based on a personalised analysis of student interests and experiences and the design of a contextual, independent learning plan. Specific outcomes are associated with pedagogical practice, performance and analysis and professional practice.
Course learning outcomes
- Inquire and provide service into the broad scope of contemporary and contextual HPE practice
- Analyse pedagogical practice associated with the specifics of the study and apply to practice in various settings
- Demonstrate learning in specific movement areas and teaching progressions for success orientated engagement
