Course overview

To introduce students to the nature, content, practices and theories of the English curriculum for middle and senior schools.

Course learning outcomes

  • demonstrate an appreciation of the scope of the secondary subject called English
  • locate their own experiences, values and expectations of English within a cultural and historical context and within current frameworks
