Course overview

To develop an understanding of the concepts of language, culture and learning and their interrelationship in teaching languages in Australian schools.

Course learning outcomes

  • Plan, implement and reflect on learning experiences that explore concepts of language and culture
  • Design learning sequences with reference to curriculum frameworks
  • Apply appropriate language teaching strategies and pedagogies to language teaching in Australian education contexts, including selection and use of appropriate resources
