Course overview

This course will explore contemporary criminological phenomena from an international perspective. Students will have an opportunity to travel to an international destination to take part in a study tour that aims to develop their understanding of how Criminology takes shape across borders. In particular, students will engage with a range of theoretical and practical debates about various crime problems overseas, as well as the unique challenges facing crime control and punishment across jurisdictions. Note that this course will be co-taught by the University of Adelaide and an external institution, and will require students to travel overseas for a portion of their study period.
