Course overview

Visual narrative is an essential communication tool for Illustrators and Animators and those in storytelling industries. This course explores and applies theories and practices of picture-making essential to storytelling in visual communication. Students will link narrative theory with both experimental and orthodox visual approaches to practices that consolidate skills ready for professional practice. The course requires experimentation and exploration of a broad range of image making mediums that can be applied to both static and sequential imagery. Professional modes of communication and dissemination of practice will be explored in relation to Industry.
