Course overview

This course provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills to develop a functional immersive experience/prototype. Students will use their learning on project management and asset generation to self-direct the production of a virtual and interactive environment, extending their learning and improving techniques. Where possible, projects will maximise opportunities and collaborative learning.

Course learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate technical skills required to manage creative assets for an immersive media project
  • Successfully apply skills to bring an immersive media (or related discipline) project to fruition
  • Manage the relevant technologies and techniques required for XR production
  • Reflect on processes and outcomes of production-focused projects
  • Reflect on the user’s role when planning a digital product
