Course overview

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills to navigate and manage the dynamic landscape of emerging innovations and technology. Building upon fundamental knowledge of information technology systems, the course delves into current trends in technology, creative and design thinking, strategic management, organisational change and impact on organisations, industry sectors and societies. The students will learn through a combination of theoretical frameworks, practical methods and tools, and case studies and by working individually and in teams to propose an innovative solution and develop strategies and approaches to manage new disruptive technologies.

  • Evaluate competitive advantages of new emerging innovations and technologies
  • Critically reflect on the impact of disruptive technologies and their implications on organisations, industry sectors and societies from interdisciplinary perspectives

  • Develop strategies and approaches to manage innovative technologies for appropriate business models considering risks, sustainability, industry ecosystem impacts
