Course overview

This immersive industry based course, delivered on-site at Rising Sun Pictures, will build upon students’ existing visual effects knowledge, and familiarises students with professional practice in the visual effects industry, providing the theory, skills, and techniques to produce industry-standard creature effects simulations. In this course, students will focus on the technical aspects of the post-production process for animation and visual effects. They will learn how to troubleshoot and fix common issues related to sculpting and animation meshcaches, including fixing intersections and sculpting art directed shapes for characters or creatures. Additionally, students will learn how to optimise the performance of their projects. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the skills necessary to produce industry standard animated and simulated content for the film and television industry using industry-standard software.
