Course overview
This immersive industry based course, delivered on-site at Rising Sun Pictures, will build upon students’ existing visual effects knowledge, and familiarises students with professional practice in the visual effects industry, providing the theory, skills, and techniques to produce industry-standard dynamic effects simulations. In this course, students will be introduced to the fundamental aspects of working within the dynamic effects pipeline. Students will develop familiarity and expertise with key digital asset development techniques, and will gain skills needed to integrate, remove, isolate, grade and insert asset elements. By the end of the course, students will have acquired the skills required to produce industry standard dynamic effects sequences.
Course learning outcomes
- Critically analyse and implement industry-standard dynamic effects production practices
- Apply key tools and techniques within industry standard software to generate professional quality dynamic effects simulations
- Demonstrate autonomy and adaptability in planning and managing a program of work to meet a production brief and its deadline through iterative project submission and review
- Demonstrate direction within a simulated team environment and produce work that meets industry-standard quality assurance and review processes
