Course overview

In this course, students will develop the skills required to plan, configure, maintain, and scale a routed network. Content includes: Spanning tree protocol; Layer 2 switching protocols; Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP); Open Short Path First protocol (OSPF); Border Gateway Protocol (BGP); Fabric Technologies; Foundational Network Programmability; Multicast and QoS.

Course learning outcomes

  • Apply Layer 2 redundancy in an enterprise network.
  • Implement advanced technologies to support a secure and scalable enterprise network architecture.
  • Explain the purposes and characteristics of virtualisation and network automation.
  • Configure Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
  • Analyse multicast and Quality of Service operations in a managed enterprise network.
  • Document an enterprise network design and configuration.
