Course overview

This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of data governance, data confidentiality, consent, data ethics, data privacy, and data quality within the context of information technology. Throughout the course, students will explore topics such as legal frameworks for data protection, ethical considerations in data handling, industry standards, best practices, and practical implementation strategies. Through theoretical study and practical application, students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage data-related risks and promote responsible data Stewardship. This course aligns with the overall program goals of equipping students with the technical expertise and ethical awareness needed to succeed in the field of information technology, fostering a commitment to data integrity and privacy in their professional practice.
