Course overview
The aim of this course is to extend and consolidate students' knowledge of professional writing and editing for publication. Following procedures and guidelines required by the Australian standards for editing practice, students will perform a number of editing tasks on real world texts from a variety of contexts including fiction, science, professional/corporate and academic.
Course learning outcomes
- implement and consolidate previous knowledge in the field
- edit and manage texts from a variety of contexts
- produce work of professional publication standard by indicated deadlines
- explain the requirements of the IPEd accreditation.
