Course overview
This course will provide students with the opportunity to discover the conjunctions their disciplines provide for them, and encourage student self-awareness by researching, reflecting on and planning for possible future domains of life and work to which they may aspire. The course provides students with the opportunity to identify and research connections between their disciplinary interests, future aspirations and contemporary domains of life and work. Based on a wide range of industry-based resources and input, collaborative investigation and guided reflection, the course enables students to discover potential life and work opportunities that invoke their disciplinary interests. Students research, report and present on domains and organisations relevant to their particular experience and professional interests, identify emerging trends and opportunities and develop a plan for engagement with domains/organisation in which they aspire to participate.
Course learning outcomes
- Research domains of life and work of potential relevant to their career aspirations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of their interests and capabilities in relation to their disciplines and chosen domains of life and work.
- Communicate their capabilities and experience as relevant to potential domains of life and work.
- Develop a plan of action to initiate participation in chosen domains/organisations.

If you are continuing in a program you commenced prior to 1 January 2021, or are commencing an Honours degree relating to an undergraduate degree you commenced prior to 1 January 2021, you may be charged a different Student Contribution amount from the amount displayed below. Please check the Student Contribution bands for continuing students here. If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
