Course learning outcomes
- Develop critical thinking and analysis skills to comprehend, evaluate, and critique various texts, including written and spoken content.
- Construct academic sentence and paragraph writing incorporating academic conventions including paraphrasing, summarising and APA referencing style.
- Demonstrate an understanding to critically evaluate and organise information to support a written argument.
- Verbally present a comprehensive analysis of students' writing development, highlighting the progress made through editing practice and incorporating feedback received throughout the duration of the course.
- Use information and digital literacy strategies to evaluate sources.
- Implement ethical and responsible academic conduct according to university guidelines and standards.
