Course overview

Foundations in Chemistry is designed for students seeking a solid foundation in chemistry that would be required later for more advanced courses in a variety of science related programs. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to identify different states of matter, trends of the periodic table, and molecular shape, and draw conclusions about physical and chemical properties. Students will be able to perform basic chemical calculations, balance chemical equations and understand chemical equilibrium and properties of acids and bases. By successfully completing the course’s assessments, students will demonstrate their ability to apply chemical concepts to real-world scenarios.

  • Structure And Bonding
  • Quantities In Chemical Reactions
  • Reactions And Properties Of Reactions
  • Introduction To Organic Chemistry
