Course overview

This course aims to uplift students’ creativity knowledge and practical skills to develop and manage innovative solutions to complex issues identified in the modern workplace and for societies in general. The course will do more than reinforcing the vague notions of innovation and creativity as buzzwords but will provide students a practical toolkit to create and exploit innovation opportunities in organisations via project-based tasks.

Course learning outcomes

  • Apply tools and techniques to generate creative and innovative opportunities that are actionable, ethical and sustainable.
  • Critically analyse creative leadership, innovation culture and organisational settings that enhance collaborative creativity and innovation development
  • Demonstrate advanced level communication within a collaborative team that fosters innovation development.
  • Developing innovative propositions to solve social-economic challenges using co-creative processes and individual creative roles.
