To provide students with the fundamentals of the statistical analysis of data for strategic decision-making in business and management.

Course learning outcomes

  • Evaluate statistical inferences to support business decisions, by analyzing sampling distributions and confidence intervals, and conducting hypothesis tests, to determine the statistical significance of findings.
  • Design and construct visualizations, utilizing various techniques and tools, to effectively communicate insights derived from descriptive and visual analytics, measured by the clarity and relevance of the visual representations.
  • Implement supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms to derive insights from data, resulting in actionable, innovative and ethical recommendations for sustainable business growth.
  • Demonstrate communication skills to effectively convey complex analytical findings to diverse stakeholders.
