Course overview

This course is designed to provide students with an industry opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in their academic studies to real-world professional settings through a placement or internship experience. Students will engage in hands-on learning within organisations relevant to their field of study, gaining practical skills, industry insights, and valuable networking contacts. Additionally, the course will support students on career development, including resume building, interview preparation, and professional networking, to enhance students' employability and career readiness.

Course learning outcomes

  • Plan and undertake a research project in project management by applying a deep understanding of project management principles and critically reflecting on trends and issues across various industries
  • Utilise advanced research skills, creativity, and initiative in project management to develop innovative solutions for complex problems in professional practice
