Course overview
This advanced level course provides students with the opportunity to participate in an industry practicum. It aims to enhance students' professional competencies and interpersonal skills and their business consulting and applied research skills. The course also promotes individual responsibility for professional development.
Course learning outcomes
- Apply discipline based business knowledge to a professional work environment.
- Communicate and interact effectively with work colleagues.
- Negotiate, design and deliver a proposal and produce a final report for a work placement project that aligns with their business discipline.
- Effectively use data generated by the business and from other sources.
- Perform tasks set by an employer to a satisfactory standard.
- Reflect on their experience in the work environment and how this relates to the enhancement of their professional competencies and the deepening and broadening of their business knowledge and ethical action.
