Course overview

This course explores the interconnections between sustainability, corporate risk management, and governance. Students will learn to integrate sustainable practices into business models, assess environmental and social risks, and develop governance frameworks that promote ethical practices and long-term sustainability.

Course learning outcomes

  • Critically evaluate the evolution of business responsibility as it relates to current and future operations.
  • Analyse and apply sustainability frameworks and standards as they relate to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks in business operations.
  • Apply stakeholder theory to critically evaluate complex issues in current business operations.
  • Develop recommended enhancements to business practices grounded in ethical and sustainability principles.
