Course overview
This course aims to enhance the student’s ability to understand leadership and develop their own leadership practice; to engage the people they lead and develop their own personal and organisational productivity through increased self-awareness and reflection on their personal leadership capabilities, enabling students to make informed and effective decisions related to the people management in the workplace. This course includes the analysis of different models of leadership, interpersonal awareness, skilful communication and relationship building, how people management systems within organisations structure, and how leaders can manage and influence staff to achieve project outcomes within legal and ethical requirements.
