Course learning outcomes

  • Critically assess ambiguous and multi-dimensional problems using structured problem-framing techniques to distinguish root causes from symptoms across business contexts
  • Explain and critically discuss the implications and effect of cognitive biases, groupthink, and ethical issues on decision making.
  • Critically examine and integrate traditional and innovative methodologies techniques, and tools, in a systems thinking approach to generate, evaluate, and prioritise ethical solutions.
  • Demonstrate skills in problem solving and decision making as an individual and in teamwork to evaluate various decision-making frameworks, models and tools, and critically explain the most appropriately selected approach in applying to a real-world problem.
