Course overview

This course enables students to develop a practical understanding of their particular field of study as it applies to a work environment, enhance their employability through investigating career options and pathways, and explore the impact of the labour market and an individuals values, interests and other competencies on career satisfaction. An industry placement is carried out under academic and industry supervision. By undertaking a project or placement within a discipline specific organisation, students apply the knowledge of their discipline gained through their studies to work related tasks and gain valuable experience related to their future career. Students are assessed through a proposal, reflection and report.
