Course overview
This course provides students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to leverage cutting-edge analytical tools and techniques in order to optimise and enhance the efficiency, visibility, and resilience of supply chain operations. Through a comprehensive exploration of key concepts, industry best practices, and hands-on application of analytics tools, students will gain the expertise necessary to make informed decisions, mitigate risks, and drive strategic improvements across the entire supply chain ecosystem. In this course, students develop their knowledge of the crucial role of data analytics in supply chain management and how it can contribute to an organisations overarching strategic goals and objectives. Students are assessed through an essay, a case study and presentation.

Course learning outcomes
- Explain the role of analytics in optimising supply chain operations.
- Apply techniques for collecting, cleaning, and preparing supply chain data for analysis, and conducting statistical analysis on collected data.
- Utilise data analytics to enhance key supply chain metrics, including service levels, inventory turnover, transportation costs, and lead times.
- Apply supply chain analytics concepts to solve complex supply chain problems.
- Demonstrate skills in problem solving, oral and written communication, and applying an international perspective on supply chain management.
