Course overview

This course introduces principles and practices of entrepreneurial creativity and innovation in various settings. Students will learn to implement creative processes for the development of innovation activities to solve problems in organisations and other contexts in relation to entrepreneurship. The course covers creativity at the individual, team and organisational levels, creativity in the context of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation to address societal issues, barriers to creativity and innovation, building the creative environment and innovation capability in the organisation, and managing creativity and innovation in the organisation for growth and success.

Course learning outcomes

  • Gain understanding and assess principles, models, approaches and processes involved in creativity and innovation for individuals, teams and organisations
  • Reflect on different aspects of creativity and innovation development and management in the organisational setting
  • Apply creativity tools to create innovative outcomes for relevant problems
  • Design processes to encourage creativity and innovation development beneficial to the organisation and society
