Course overview
The Business Practicum course provides students the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world business setting. This work-integrated learning experience is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice through either a placement with a participating organization on or off campus. Students will engage in practical business tasks, contributing to projects and gaining firsthand insight into the operational, strategic, and ethical dimensions of their chosen commerce major.
Course learning outcomes
- Apply business concepts and theories in a practical, real-world environment
- Develop and demonstrate professional workplace skills, including teamwork, communication, and problem-solving
- Reflect critically on their experiences and articulate their professional learning and development
- Build and expand professional networks through interactions with business professionals

If you are continuing in a program you commenced prior to 1 January 2021, or are commencing an Honours degree relating to an undergraduate degree you commenced prior to 1 January 2021, you may be charged a different Student Contribution amount from the amount displayed below. Please check the Student Contribution bands for continuing students here. If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
