Course overview
This course will develop students' specialised knowledge of materials and technologies required for the design, detailing, documentation, and fabrication of buildings of varying scales and complexities on a construction site.
Course learning outcomes
- Analyse and critically evaluate site set-out strategies for varying stages of construction through set-out drawings and use of set-out tools
- Analyse and critically evaluate prefabricated building components and technologies in relation to their environmental design impacts
- Analyse and critically evaluate prefabricated building components and technologies in relation to their cultural impacts
- Analyse and critically evaluate applied strategies to promote positive-net environmental impacts on site/s
- Analyse and critically evaluate applied strategies to promote positive-net cultural impacts on site/s
- Incorporate and synthesise prefabricated building components and technologies on an environmentally and culturally sensitive site
