Course overview
The aim of this course is to extend and consolidate the students' technical knowledge and skills of modern quantity surveying practices and cost management services on complex construction projects including building services and civil engineering works. Introduction to alternative standard method of measurements; Measurement and billing process for multi-storey buildings, building services and civil engineering works; Cost management services for complex buildings, building services and civil engineering works.
Course learning outcomes
- Apply principles of advanced measurement techniques for multi-storey buildings, building services and civil engineering works.
- Measure various building elements, building services systems and engineering works using appropriate standard method of measurements.
- Apply cost management principles for complex building and civil engineering projects.
