Course overview
This course is the second stage of the research journey, in which students implement their approved research design and carry out an independent investigation into the relevant topic. Students will apply advanced research and analytical skills to produce findings and communicate results effectively to diverse audiences through written and oral formats.
Course learning outcomes
- Consolidate theoretical knowledge and skills to plan and execute a research-based project
- Critically review published literature related to a research topic
- Utilising the research plan from Reseach Project A, continue to determine, develop and implement the most appropriate research methods in an iterative manner to investigate a research topic in an ethical manner
- Assemble, analyse and synthesize relevant data and information into a convincing argument at an advanced level
- Demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a professional team, displaying both team-work skills and autonomy
- Effectively communicate research outcomes utilising advanced written skills
