Students will develop a deeper understanding of pre-contract cost management including financial appraisal and cost planning.
Course learning outcomes
- Understand pre-contract cost management and financial appraisal of construction projects
- Apply cost planning techniques throughout the building design process
- Evaluate the cost efficiency of building designs considering design economics
- Develop knowledge to manage cost information through cost analysis, storage and proper usage in construction projects
- Use appropriate computer software for cost planning of building projects
