Course overview
Students will develop a deeper understanding of the building surveying practice such as building certification, compliance and building control.
Course learning outcomes
- Interpret, analyse and appraise building design against the requirements of the NCC V2 and Australian Standards
- Demonstrate operation of statutes, the NCC V2 and related documents relevant to residential construction
- Apply the principles of and appraise performance design in accordance with NCC V2
- Demonstrate diverse communication skills including report writing and creation of drawings to show understanding for the perspective of the designer and assessor of buildings

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
