Course overview
(Original) This course introduces students to a wide variety of techniques and methods used by the: environmental and conservation (A,C)/earth sciences (B) industry. Students will be provided with knowledge and a framework to use selected techniques to address specific industry challenges. Students will generate new: environmental and/or conservation (A,C)/geological, geophysics and/or geochemical (B) data to (develop integrated geologic models to – B/C) advance scientific knowledge and understanding of industry challenges.

Course learning outcomes
- Identify a relevant environmental industry challenge and develop a research project proposal to investigate this challenge.
- Identify, develop and evaluate appropriate methods and techniques to feasibly address the environmental industry challenge.
- Implement and manage research activities effectively, demonstrating project planning, time management, and initiative.
- Analyse and interpret project data to produce meaningful insights, making evidence-based conclusions with industry applications.
- Design and demonstrate methods for communication of the project approach and outcomes tailored for diverse audiences.
