Course overview

This course is a broad foundation course exploring the utilization of energy, encompassing its technological, economic, social, and environmental dimensions. In the context of the urgent need to reduce anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, the use of fossil fuel resources as well as alternative renewable energy sources are presenting many serious immediate challenges. This course provides learners with the knowledge to comprehend the intricate interplay between energy and society. By encouraging active engagement with local, national, and international energy discussions, students are empowered to contribute meaningfully towards shaping a more sustainable energy future amidst ongoing debates and evolving challenges.
